The Forest: Review (Movie 50 of 2016 Countdown)

Aokigahara, known as the Suicide Forest or Sea of Trees is a 35-square-kilometre forest lying at the north-west base of Mount Fuji in Japan. The forest has an association with demons in Japanese mythology, and is a common suicide site. This is the stage upon which the movie, The Forest, is played out. Starring Natalie Dormer as Sara searching this vast green forest for her twin sister Jess and hunky Eoin Macken as Rob the magazine writer who offers to help in the search. But is this horror film a nightmare of fun or does it die wandering the wood trying to find a plot?
